I’ve listened to Danity Kane’s “Damaged” before, but it wasn’t until today that I realized that the lyrics hold potential to be a song for New Moon. It reminds me of Bella’s relationship with Jacob, when she calls herself “damaged goods”. She knows that even if she were with Jacob, her love for him would be incomplete, because of “the one before” (aka Edward ;3) left her broken. She knows that Jacob is patient and understanding, and starts to realize that maybe Jacob could heal the hole in her heart. If you haven’t heard the song, take a look at this excerpt from the lyrics.
